A bone to pick...

(not me-in case you couldn't tell)

So, if you are a huge fan of Stephanie Meyer and I mean HUGE, you probably should steer away from this post. Just casually click on the next person on your favorites and pretend I posted about my kids and their funny antics. I do not wish to offend anyone, but I gotta post my feelings.

I recently finished the last book in the Twilight series. If you know me you know my feelings already and this last book sealed the deal for me.

BLEEEECHHHHH.
One word: RENESMEE? Really Stephanie, that's all you got?

Thanks to Laurel for letting me borrow the book. I'm not professing to be an world renown author. And I'm sure its difficult to do what Stephanie did. I did find it kinda entertaining, it just didn't tickle my fancy. Sorry Alicia you can kick me out of the family now.

please peace...

Nan, you are NOT the first person who has told me that they could not stand the series...I think those who did not enjoy the book are a bit afraid to voice their opinion. So thanks for keeping it real and sharing your voice.

I still haven't finished the book. I don't know if I ever will. I personally liked the 3 other books, they were fun for me to read. But yeah, this last book, is totally on my nerves.

I just think you have to look at it as a book, and nothing more. It's entertainment, and although I was a bit dissapointed in the way things went in the final book, I still really like the series as a whole. Her writing style doesn't do the storyline justice in my opinion. It can get very repetitive and overly descriptive. There are a lot of books out there that really make you think, ponder, learn, change your life - Twilight is just a fun escape from the daily drudge. The target market was supposed to be young adults so I think because we are older we can find more fault with the books. Ok, I'm rambling again.....

Haha! When I read it, I kept thinking, is she really going to name her Renesmee?!! Such a stupid name! I do agree with your opinion, but I really did enjoy it overall. My problems with the book.. 1. The Honeymoon, I mean COME ON!! 2. Edward breaking into her uterus with his teeth, so gross! 3. No fight at the end! Whats with that?! I have to say though, it's her book, her imagination, so I just went with it for the most part. Love your review!!

I loved the series but they are 4 books of maybe 25 that I have ever read over my whole lifetime. I'm not much of a reader so I don't have much to compare them to. I would read them over a parenting book any day. They totally took me out of my day to day reality of being a stay at home mom of 5. I look forward to see what they do with the movie.

Hope I'll see ya around at some of the dances coming up!

Nancie, apparently you don't read my blog!! I hated the fourth book! It almost ruined the whole series for me, but luckily my love for Edward runs deep and held strong. In my head, the series ended with Eclipse. I am a mega Twilight fan, but I have no problem with people who don't like the books (there are a lot of you). I have issues with the books too, I just love me some Edward. So, no worries cuz. I got nothin' but love for ya. And even though you were sure it would make me mad, I still love the shout out I got!
P.S. Is your hair as fab as mine?

I liked the books but I wasn't a fan of the last one either!

Oh wow. I am totally offended. I LOVED the name Renesmee. I was thinking about using it for my next girl. Now that i know you will make fun of me behind my back, I might reconsider.
