Redneck Roots:

My cousin Lenny got married this weekend. We attended his rockin' party and had a super time. The theme was NASCAR and duct tape. I'll let the pictures explain...(I did NOT Photoshop these at all!)

The wedding and party were held at the Stanfield/OR Moose Lodge.
Dress was CASUAL.
My cousin's ex-wife's little brother Jerry.
The Groom. Notice the efforts to commandeer the mic.
Uncle Jay and my little sis Darcie (now you know where Cam's red hair comes from).
My cousin Daytona (We are SERIOUS about our NASCAR)
Jack was done with the whole loud DJ and light strobe. And Mitch was just getting started.
Bride and Groom. No satin and chiffon here.
Harley Davidson and Dale Earnhardt apparel perfect for cutting a rug.
Jack enjoyed cake. Especially the black food coloring.
Sunday Easter photo. Note to self: no more family pictures in front of the swing.
Easter on the farm: Gay's Alpaca Acres. This is Helen (as in Helen Keller- she is blind in one eye, and deaf).
Cam always grabs life (or Munchie) by the horns.
Dad doing a quick clean-up in the yard before the egg hunt.
This is how farmboys hunt easter eggs.

Jack and Junk.

The guys unloaded some Hay for Grandma Gay. I'm a poet... Our weekend was eventful to say the least. We enjoyed seeing family, and spending time together. We missed those who weren't here and hope to see you soon. I need to go nurse this hangover.
Later Y'all!

After the fact.

As I promised I'm posting picts of our RS dinner last night. I had a pretty table, if I do say so myself- but I used 75% of Tami's stuff. There were lots of great ideas, and this girl produced a stunning table (of course!). We learned a lot about Visiting Teaching and rekindled the fire. My blueberry Cheesecake was pretty good, and I'll be working on the dishes today.

Several weeks ago, My mom, the kids and I went to the feed store and purchased us some chicks to raise for laying. We couldn't help it and took 4 of them home with us (mom and the farm has the other dozen and a half). DJ (Cams), Cheetah one (mine), Chick hicks(Mitch's), and yellow one (Jack's) are growing fast and they have made the rounds to 2 preschools, and frequent visitors. Here are some Pict's.

Also, tonight is my BYUI alumni ambassador dinner at PF CHANGS. And one of my good friends from girls camp in Idaho will be there. Can't wait! I'll post that on Monday.

HAPPY EASTER!!!

Houndin' It

I know, its a sucky post, but that's really all my life consists of.
I get to decorate a RS table later this week. Maybe I'll branch out and take some pictures and post of that later.
Yeah....Maybe....

RICKS ROCKS

This is one of my favorite places in all the world. BYU/IDAHO (or I remember it as RICKS COLLEGE)

I became a member of the alumni ambassadors, a couple of years ago, and I still stay in touch. We are here to help families in our stake get or stay connected to BYUI. So any of you who have kids, sisters, brothers, or husbands who are looking to go- I can answer any questions you have (or try to).

I know some of you who know me in "real-life" probably tire of listening to my stories, but I had some of the best memories and friends made there. I loved it. Those of you who read this and love RICKS/BYUI too, I urge you to become a member, there are ambassadors needed in many stakes still- check this list to see if you have any near you.
http://www.byui.edu/alumni/ambassadors.htm

(plus- they hook you up with a really neat bag full of all kinds of good stuff- chap stick, license plate frames, pencils, mail openers and sometimes they come and take us to dinner! SCORE.)
