My leper baby

If any of you blessed people have met Jack, you would know that his eczema is a phenom for doctors. And the boy unfortunately has a little of his momma in him. He picks. In the car, at home, in his high chair, in his bed. So I had an Epiphany this last week. I was in the Horse care aisle at Ranch and Home, and I saw VET WRAP. I thought: Of course! That stuff is wonderful for keeping horses out of a sore. Why not a little boy. Its the greatest stuff. It only sticks to itself, and it takes some pretty tricky maneuvering to get it off. So I stocked up. Now when I medicate the kid, I'll just VET WRAP him up and he'll stay out of it.
So when you see me in Winco, with my kid looking like he has a double fracture, just know its hurting me more than it hurts him.

i think these pictures are the perfect compliment to your blog title "hick town". seriously, whenever i go to your blog i want to see jacks blue legs and maybe a chicken on his lap. don't you wish we thought of some ideas alot sooner than we do?! jack looks like a little olympic gymnast! :)

Brilliant! I am so glad that he will be able to heal, even if he does look like a horse with broken legs. Way to think Nan!

Is that like that sticky athlectic wrap? I hope it helps and he starts to heal his little wounds. He sure is a cutie pie. He had lots of fun at Kendle's party on Saturday and just bopped around with the other kids.

You are so smart Nan. I loved this sentence, "I was browsing around the horse isle at Ranch & Home." That had me cracking up. I love that you thought of a way for Jack's legs to heal. You are a genius. Love the pictures.

Genius Nan. It wouldn't hurt to Put some pants on the kid. That will help hide some of the wrap.

It sounds just like you to be in Ranch N Home. Makes me miss ya.

Poor baby. That is such a good idea though. Maybe I should do that for Emma. The inside of her little elbows get so scratched and they bleed because she won't leave them alone either. Great idea. Your a genious!

We use that stuff in the hospital ALL the time, it is AWESOME! We always get confused old people who pull out their IV's and dig in their poop, and that stuff (we call it Co-ban) is the best at keeping them from picking at things, it really works! You are a genius for figuring that out on your own! Now, if Jack tries to dig in his diaper, wrap his hands in it!

Cutest dang legs! even wrapped up like they are. You screwed up his favorite past time though. He loves to sit and pick at his feet. It cracks me up when he pulls his little feet right up to his face so he can see his sores a little closer. He is such a hoot!
