UPDATE:

Yeah, so my new girl at the hound up and quit on me (after a month of training invested). And long story short, I hired a girl that used to work for us 2 1/2 years ago- and she took 1 day of training and now she's on her own. And that equals FREE TIME FOR ME.

So anyways, now I have more time for my callings, husband, kids, dinners, t-ball, mowing the yard, blogging, and riding.
Just a thought, don't take for granted the time spent at home during the day doing "mundane" things, because you never know how much you miss it when you don't have it.
Now for my nap!

getting creative

I found this at a small yard sale for 4 bucks. We put a new coat of paint and set it up. Perfect little desk for Cams room. (He wanted to paint stripes on it-vetoed that.) Now off to find a chair.

GOOD GRIEF...

I'm not really one to post about such things- but I have got to let this out...

Dredlocks NEVER look sexy, clean, or attractive. No matter how big your AI budget is each week.

Not to mention the horrible faces he makes when he sings.

And the way he doesn't open his mouth, doesn't that pretty much constitute SINGING?

I don't vote for him. This guy has gotta GO HOME! (sorry Tami)

Even this dog is cuter than Jason. Probably sings better too.

Turning 30!

My Barg is 30.

Sometimes he's nerdy

but always purdy

He loves to be dirty

I Love You.

Big Weekend

Last weekend, we loaded up the truck and headed to SLC/UT. We stayed at my sister Jen's house, and did a little home improvement project. We basically gutted her kitchen, painted her upstairs, and ripped out a wall. We listened to conference while doing it too, toured the sites downtown, and watched the awesome Joseph Smith movie. Great weekend. A shoutout to my sista for being a great host to all of us.

(4 of the six kids my super parents raised-out of the girls in the fam, 1 is missing
go here for Katie's blog)

(We're all a little busy to be taking a picture.

Gosh we sure look like tourists huh?)

I'm going to be rich!

Yard sale-ing is an art. Just like anything there are rules that a yard sale must play by to remain in our universe. I noticed a phenomenon this last Saturday.

I noticed that people beget people at yard sales.

When people go duck hunting (Riley this is for you) they usually have decoys to lure more ducks in to the pond, therefore a better chance of scoring some duck meat. The same is true with yard sales. When you have one car parked out in front and one or two digging through your stuff, they can't help but stop and dig too. However if no one is there, it's harder just getting someone to stop.

So I'm going to produce some "yard sale decoys". Picture this: plastic man and woman, kneeling or standing, wearing a fishing hat, and packing a plastic Ziploc bag with pretend cash in it. You can order them wearing different outfits, and some can come with a recording that says, "Would you take $3 for this?" Maybe I'll even do some kid like ones to dig through the toys, what kid can resist that? not a one. My yard sale went okay last week, but with these I'll make a fortune!

Patent pending.
